What is the 10-Hour SST DOB Approved Worker Training Package? Local Law 196 of 2017 established new training requirements for construction workers and supervisors. To qualify for a Site Safety Training (SST) Card, workers must complete a total of 40 hours of training by September 1, 2020. The most efficient way for workers to fulfill this requirement is by completing a 30-Hour OSHA training program, an 8-Hour Fall Prevention Course, and a 2-Hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness Course.

The 10 Hour NYC DOB SST training Includes both the 8 Hour Fall Prevention awareness course and the 2 Hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness course at a discounted rate. These courses may also be applied to Supervisor SST card.

Upon successful completion of the 10-hour SST bundle course, participants receive:

• Certificates of Completion: Issued for both the 8-hour Fall Prevention and 2-hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness courses, verifying that the participant has fulfilled the training requirements.
• SST Worker’s Card: This card, inclusive in the package, serves as official proof that the individual has completed the necessary training to work safely on New York City construction sites. The SST Worker’s Card is recognized and required by the NYC Department of Buildings.

Overall, the 10-hour SST bundle course equips workers with essential knowledge and certifications to ensure compliance with safety regulations and readiness to work in the construction industry in New York City.

1. 100% attendance for the SST course class 10 hours
2. Completion of Continuing Education and Training Registration Form
3. Active participation in all class exercises (determined by course instructor)
4. Completion of required pre-and post-quiz assessment
5. As applicable, achievement of minimum passing score on required end-of-course examination
6. Participation and submittal of end-of-course evaluation form (must provide name on form to receive credit)
