Rigging Worker course is required by the New York City Department of Buildings (DOB) for all individuals who perform rigging or signaling work in conjunction with the hoisting or lowering of articles on the outside of a building with hoisting equipment, and that are not directly employed by a New York City licensed rigger.

Construction Site Safety Managers are responsible for overseeing the safety of the work site.
